Night out with the cousins

Have you ever realised that you often have the best nights out when you haven't planned anything and it's completely spontaneous.

Tonight my cousins came over with their parents, just for a nice chit chat - as families often do. So me and my cousins suddenly decided since were all here, we might aswell go out. Me and my brother, and her and her brother decide to get in the car and go for a drive and find somewhere to go. We finally decide to go to a sheesha place and have a few drinks.

We had a great night, we had some food, drank a few drinks and gossiped over sheesha. Us girls had a good old giggle, the guys sat and watched match of the day on their phones. Overall a great night out, which made me feel like we need to hang out more often.

Normally I do have the tendency to keep to myself and forget to socialise with others amd keep in contact, but these cousins the more time I spend with them the more I feel like we're on the same wave length and get along with them really well.

Sometimes the best night are the ones you don't plan.

Ps. On a seperate note I finally got round to tidying up my room, you can actually see the floor now. My clothes still needs to be organised but atleast I've got over the hard part.

Organize my life

I've been trying to sort out my room for ages and just keep putting it off.

I'm either too tired, not at home, or stuck in bed because I'm ill.

I've done a bit of clearing and found the cable for my electric keyboard. I plugged it in and played a few of the simple bits and bobs I remembered from school and I keep wondering if this is the hobby I've been looking for.

The plan is to download some sheet music and keep myself busy. I also plan to organize my room, I've been looking at IKEA for wardrobes and drawers that I want to get for my room for ages. My thought is to get it done before new years, possibly as part of my new years resolution.

I keep thinking that if I have an organised room I will have a more organised life. Finding my feet hasn't quite happened this year but my hope is that next year will bring me better luck and a fresh start. I want to make the most of my time and hopefully I can keep myself motivated to achieve all these things.

It's Christmas!!!

It's here... Its's christmas and that can only mean one thing.....

Christmas food!!!

Theres gonna ne turkey, stuffing, cranberry sauce, brussel sprouts, parsnips, carrots, a christmas pudding.

Unfortunately I have just come down with a cold so stuck in bed this Christmas.

If I'm being honest I don't mind since I get to lie in bed waching all the christmassy films and disney cartoons that are on over the holidays.

Since it's christmas there's not long to go until new years. So being stuck in bed has bot me thinking about my new years resolution. I feel like Christmas I get soo much and I want to give a little bit back. There's this befriending scheme for children and those with autism to help them in society. The application process seems to be a bit on the long side but once the holidays are over I'm going to apply.

Will let you know know how it goes. In the meantime I hope you all enjoy your Christmas amd boxing day.

Baking failure

I tried to do a bit of baking today. It was an absolute failure!!!

Since it's not long til christmas I thought it would be nice to bake a christmassy cake. I had loads of ideas. I was going to make cake pops, and to make it more christmassy I thought having them covered in coconut would make it look like snowballs. I even thought of doing little chocolate balls drizzled with icing with holy on top so they look like christmas pudding pops.

All these great ideas but I just couldn't get them to bake properly.

While the cupcakes were in the oven I tried to make little star biscuits. My first mistake was not putting enough cocoa and sugar in the mix.

Then once I put the biscuits in the oven the were too thin and burned. So I gave up on those and tried to make buttercake. Only problem was its been in the oven for ages and it hasn't cooked in the middle. So now I have no snowballs, no cupcakes, no biscuits.

Baking was an absolute failure!! Tomorrow there's nothing to take to work and share with the guys. I guess I need to prospone cake day til friday. I wish it went but not much that can be done now. Fingers crossed next time will be better.

Secret santa

It's that time of year again....

Christmas!!!

In the office everything is getting christmassy, secret santas have been picked, christmas trees are decked with tinsel, and everyone cant stop talking about the christmas party.

I've yet to decorate my desk, but as it gets closer to the day my baahumbug spirit is leaving me and I'm slowly being swept away by all the christmas.

My secret santa is bought wrapped and just needs to be put amongst the other secret santa presents. Now I'm looking forward to the Christmas dinner we're having on wednesday. Everyone on the kidwear team is getting together for dinner and to hand out the secret santa presents....I'm looking forward to seeing if my secret santa is a good one and if they have got me something thats so me,and I hope my secret santa like her present. Really looking forward to it all.

In the west end

Today I got out of bed made my breakfast and went straight to the west end. I did a bit of window shopping and went to see the christmas lights.

This year the christmas theme is Marmite. "You either love it or you hate it". There were a few different lights, there was santa turning green at the smell of Marmite, elves puking into stockings, and fairies that looked like they were quite enjoying Marmite on toast.

Marmite for those of you who haven't heard of, or tasted is a spread that's made from yeast extract, which is pretty salty, often spread on toast. Marmite is a very British product that you either love or hate.

The christmas lights weren't mind blowing, they were pretty dull in my opinion. I feel like the window displays were more much more interesting, which is a shame really because oxford street usually inspresses and inspires.

The window display for Selfridges was quite nice, this one was nutcracker inspired and looked quire nice, the doll on the right was turning like a pretty ballerina.

I thought this was a pretty good window display. A nice little bit of glamping(glam camping) meets childhood experience of having a make shift tent in the middle of the living room.

Once me and mum did out shopping and walked the whole of Oxford street I decided since were so close we might aswell go full on christmassy and go winterwonderland aswell. Winter Wonderland comes around every year, its like a chritmas themed funfair/carnival. With the big wheel, bauble ride and the sled rollercoaster.

I've been there every year since it first started and it's a nice place to be when the weather gets a bit chilly and you've got your bobble hat and mittens on. It's a place where you get a touch ofchristmas spirit.

Today taking out my camera with me was great and I think I will most definately be keeping it in my bag from now on to capture all the great places I go and all the interesting things I see. I hope you guys liked the pictures and if you're in the UK I would deinately recommend visiting Winter Wonderland and Oxford street. I never got round to going to Harrods, so I'm going to save that for another weekend.
