Sorry for being gone for soo long. Work has been absolutely hectic I know Christmas seems a long way from now but in the fashion industry we've been planning this all for the last few months. All the amazing clothes are coming in every day, lorries and lorries of cute christmas pudding beanies, santa socks and onsies that you just want to crawl into and sleep infront of the fireplace.
This is all well and good but it means I have lots and lots of work to do, all those deliveries booked in and it's my job to make sure that everything goes where it's supposed to.
Work is massively busy and I feel like I have quite a bit on my plate. The good news is that I have family coming over to visit and do the sight seeing tourist thing.
What's even better is that they are coming over on the weekend so I get to spend even more time with them. I'm not in the position to be taking time off on such short notice luckily having them coming over with the cutest little baby this weekend means I don't have to worry about that.
So this weekend is planned and hopefully will be full of exciting things to do. I've thought about the places I want to visit, I want to do the typical, picadilly circus, trafalgar square, london eye and london zoo. But I also want to do a few different less mainstream sight seeing, things like covent garden, bricklane and tate modern.

Today my Alpha marathon is going well, I've watched 4 episodes and while I've been watchingin I've been tidying too. So now my room doesn't look half bad.
I won't say my room is looking perfect but atleast I can see the floor now, which is a massive improvement. Tomorrows task is to tidy the rest of my room and fix up my desk. Since I've bought a bit of work home with me this week, having access to my desk would be pretty useful.
Hopefully tomorrow will be a productiveday and I can get all that done and wind down a bit afterwards.

It's the weekend again and I've had a pretty good week. Store visit with work, reunion with old colleagues and a nice chilled out night.
After a good week at work it felt like having a nice end to the week and spending it with friends. Last night after work on my way home I decided to stop off at my friends house. We had a nice chilled out night watching desperate housewives and Dallas. I've been looking for new sitcoms to help seperate my week. I've got New girl on tuesday, Dallas on wednesday and 2 Broke girls on a thursday. Desperate housewives hasn't made the cut it didn't quite tickle my fancy but Dallas is most definately a part of my week now. Alphas is coming back on soon and I'm going to catch up on the first season because this new season looks like it's going to be amazing.
So my plan for today is to put on the first season of Alphas and watch it while I tidy my room.

Yesterday was my reunion with old workfriends. It's been almost 3 months since I left there and going back was rather strange. It was like nothing had changed. I got off at the station and it was such an intense snese of de ja vu.
Walking into the pub next to the office was like my first day all over again. It was like going full circle. I had my first day at the George, having my leaving party at the George and the reunion at the George.
Meeting my replacements was nice, all the new people I met were great and soo easy to talk to. But the best part of my night had to be catching up with the other intern who had also moved on just like me. I went into retail head office, and she went into banking. We all had great stories to tell, office dramas, and all the great perks we just can't seem to live without.
Having a reunion and catching up with everyone made me step back and take a good look at how far I've come. I haven't found my feet yet but like o thinki that I mightbe in the right track.

I've found out that tomorrow is my store visit, where I get to go to a store that sells the kids clothes that I've been allocating to stores.
It's something I've been looking forward to, this and the visit to the warehouse where all the clothes is stored.
The work I do can be really out of touch with the real world, and its really easy to start seeing everything as just a number and a barcode. And sometimes when your trying to get stock out of the warehouse and into stores you dont always think about the reality of it all.
Hopefully this visit will help me see the real world effects of all the work I've been doing.
There's only one thing that I'm dreading...and it's the journey to get there. For some reason the store they picked out for me to visit is in southeast london, which is going to take me about an hr and a half, getting the underground tube, the overground rail line and then a bus from there. I'm not massively happy about having to travel that far when there's a store 20 minutes from my house, but thats life.
So hopefully all goes well and I have a fun day in store.

Everything is better with a little but of colour. So I got the colouring pencils out and decided to add a bit of colour to my drawings.
I mixed and blended the pencils and I'm pretty happy with the colour that I got in the end. Its a nice blue meets purple. I'm happy with the end result.

Here's thelatest dress in my sketch book.
I get the feeling that dresses is my thing.
I'm not a massive fan of shoes so I don't see myself drawing any shoes any time soon. So dresses is my thing.
I do favour evening gowns and bridal dresses and maybe if I enjoy this and manage to keep at it I might even create my own collection of gowns.
I'm thinking to stick with a pearly white for this gown, the darker material will be lace with diamonte on the bustier and spread out on top of the lace in certain areas. Not too sure what the colour of the lace in the hip will be but im favouring a very fair cream almost off white. Hope you like my sketch.
