Lazy Sunday

For the last week I've been packing so much into my days that I really needed a lazy Sunday of doing absolutely nothing. 

Yesterday I spent the entire day in the shopping centre until it actually closed. 

Today I did nothing. I've been on the same spot on the sofa watching films and playing Sims 3 on the laptop. 

Sometimes you feel like you've wasted a day, not me, not today. Today I needed this. Now I'm a little anxious about tomorrow, but fingers crossed it's not as bad as I thing it's going to be.

Im hoping that by having my outfit planned, having a new handbag and being packed and prepared for the day will make it tht little bit easier for me.

Ps. I've bought the dress I'm going to wear for the wedding coming up. Now I need a pair of heels to go with it.

Engagement

Yesterday was a nice ocassion. A friend of mine from school was getting engaged. I spent most of the day getting ready making myself look presentable.

I used to really enjoy weddings and engagement parties. It was always something I felt was special and perfect. The bride looked like a princess and they all looked so happy. But the more I grow up and the more I see in relationships and how the real world is I don't look at weddings the same anymore. They say ignorance is bliss that innocence is what makes the world pretty...they were right.

Yeah unfortunately this has turned out as a rather sombre post, but the constant stream of people breaking up, couples slipping up and family getting divorced makes enagament parties and wedding seem like and inevitable disaster waitingto happen.

I do hope that one day my view changes, that at some point I can be mesmerised and believe that weddings work. But right now I can't seem to look at couples and weddings the way I used to.
