Lady GaGa Born This Way Ball

My weekend has been amazing!! I'm still riding my post-conert high.

[spoiler alert] I will have a massive rant and won't be able to contain my Lady Gaga experience so those planning to go to the ball, might want to catch up on reading my previous non GaGa posts.

My dad decided to surprise me and get tickets to Lady Gaga's Born This Way Ball. I had such an amazing time. Getting there was a bit of a mission because I completely forgot the journey I had planned half assed. So I was completely lost and had to ask directions from almost all the people in shiny reflective vests at the train stations.

Once I got there I remember how much I missed being part of a group, a following and part of something much bigger than myself. I felt like I was a part of the concert, a part of the music, that I too was a little monster.

I decided since it's Lady Gaga and I probably wont ever do it again. I went for some Lady GaGa inspired make up too and joined in the fun. I didn't go all out with a wig or an outfit from one of her videos, but to be honest to my surpise neither did the other people who went...

Before Lady Gaga came on stage it was The Darkness (they're British rock band....if you havent heard of them they're worth a listen) and they got the the crowd rilled up, and boy can they work a crowd. They made me laugh, sing along and dance. But as the lights slowly bagan to fade and the smoke machines flled the air it was time for GaGa to make her entrance. The curtain came down revealing a massive castle and she came out ona horse and the night just kept getting better.

There were loads of constume changes, practicall one between every song. She is an amazing performer who can sing and dance at the same time....I know right who knew they still existed...but trust me Lady GaGa can do it all and in style.

She looked gorgeous in every outfit and sang beautifully acappella too.

Truly talented and I love her style.

Wide awake

Sleepless nights have become the norm for me. I can't switch off my brain long enough to fall asleep, I'm plagued with thoughts that haunt me.

It's almost 1 in the morning here, my eyes are burning and my head hurts but even if I go to bed now, I won't sleep. My mind goes round and round in circles and often finds itself in a deep and dark corner in the recesses of my brain.

My stomach isn't exactly helping the situation at all. All day I've been having sharp pains, like a cramping that makes me wince and leaves me breathless. If the pain doesn't go away I'm going to have to go to the doctors...something I'm dreading already.

So here I am wide awake with nothing to distract me from the pain. Sleep escapes me. Hopefully the pain subsides and I manage to get some rest. After such a busy day sleep would be amazing right now. It's not all bad..since I'm awake I guess I can atleast catch up on some TV.

Vogue's Fashion Night Out London 2012

Vogue's Fashion Night out was great...There was soo much to take in. Every store was doing something different, and I just couldn't decide where to go first but I loved every minute of it.

Some stores had live music and DJs with music blaring through the streets, others were handing out goody bagsand champagne at the door...I must admit there's something rather surreal about walking around a store with a glass of champagne in one hand and your shopping in the other. It was something I could get used to...all I need now is a few promotions and to relocate to New York or somewhere where that kind of thing is normal.

Now I'm looking into possibly getting a ticket to London's Fashion Weekend, that's happening next weekend.

There's something about clothes and shopping that   makes me happy. Even if I don't buy anything and just walk around browsing the store I actually enjoy it. Maybe this is my this can be my hobby/interest.

A little break from work

Tired doesn't begin to explain how I feel right now....

This week at work has been absolutely manic. Lately work is really getting on top of me and I can't seem to get meet deadlines. So I've decided to giveit one hundred percent and be completely on my game and hope this will be the push me and the team need to get us on track and have work run and maybe even leave work on time.

Everything has to be done to deadlines and lately I seem to be falling behind further and further behind just chasing my tail, with my to do list growing longer and everytime I tick something else get added...

The only thing keeping me going is that tomorrow I get to have my little break from it all and go to Vogue's Fashion Night Out.

The whole of Oxford street will be a buzz with fashion being in the forefront with all the focus being on the new collections and designers making a guest appearances in the shops. I've never been, but reading all the great stories about previous years make is making me so excited...Tomorrow I'm putting on my most comfortable shoes, armed with my camera and a card.

Pancakes in the morning

I miss baking and well since its the weekend I thought I'd give it a go....

Pancakes have been on my mind for the while so I decided to surf the web for American style pancake recipes.

Normally I make crepes really thin and cover them in sugar or nutella. But today it was the turn of the American pancake. I woke up nice and early and made a fresh batch of them, and here they are...

Okay they didn't exactly turn out perfect but for my first try they were okay (notice how I strategically placed the burnt ones under the nice ones).

And as promised here are my magnetic nails

Shopping with mum

I may have gone a little overboard when I went out shopping today with my mum.

We bought shoes, studded army boots, heels with a matching blazer, nice handbags, magnetic nail varnish (which looks amazing I might add-will try and add a picture of them tomorrow), jewelry for every occasion and lush body butters.

Mum and me went from store to store looking for the perfect dress to go with her shoes but couldn't find it...Even though we didn't exactly find the things we were looking for we still had a nice day that we wrapped up with waffles and ice cream.

Sometimes I feel like I do take my family for granted, when I crawled into my shell I blocked everyone out - including them...

Having a nice day with my mum made me feel a little bit closer to her I guess.

Next step to try and reconnect to my friends.

Exhausted

 I am exhausted.

Work has been tough and lately all the the things that can go wrong, have.

So much to do so little time and it's all catching up with me. Things I keep putting off because something else comes along which is more priority, all this has left me a whole bunch of things that haven't been done, sticky notes all over my screen and constant reminders with a growing to-do list.

Little things that I miss because I keep chopping and changing, from one thing to another...the list is endless and doesn't seem to be getting any better.

My body is slowly giving up on me and honestly I feel pretty weak and felt as if I could pass out at my desk at any moment.

I keep thinking that eventually it will get better and ifI  have a fresh slate to start from that I might be able to get things done on time....we can only hope.

The week is over and now the weekend begins. Tomorrows plan...Go Oxford Street with my mum and take full advantage of my discount card.
